Description

cMonkeys is an independent game studio comprised mainly of Roidz and Deozaan, with occasional but significant contributions made by others.

History

Early history

Roidz and Deozaan met in the (unofficial) Unity IRC channel (#unity3d on freenode) when Roidz was working on a new and improved version of his custom input manager for Unity called cInput. Roidz asked if Deozaan was interested in beta testing cInput; Deozaan answered in the affirmative. After receiving helpful feedback and suggestions, including a new feature or two coded by Deozaan, the two decided to collaborate on cInput.

cInput

Since the release of cInput in 2012, Roidz and Deozaan have continued to update, improve, and provide support for it. They also provided a Huge FBX Mocap Library for free on the Unity Asset Store. Somewhere along the way, they decided to start calling themselves cMonkeys. While seeing cInput used in a variety of popular and successful games was satisfying and heartwarming, eventually the team decided to start focusing on their original passion: making games.

Recent

cMonkeys have worked on a variety of prototypes over the years, most of which will likely never see the light of day. That said, Cubiq is nearing completion and should be released in July 2017.
